Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has given a test-drive to the first Russian Certified Electric bus TROLZA

On October 26 the IV International Forum on Nanotechnology Rusnanotech – 2011 has opened in Moscow Expocentre. The plenary session was attended by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov and the chairman of the board, “RUSNANO” Anatoly Chubais. The latter introduced the participants with innovative projects, including electric vehicles.

The novelty has interested President Dmitry Medvedev and he decided to test the vehicle. At the street booth of the manufacturer, the Moscow company MOBEL, the President had an electric bus test drive, having passed about 50 meters.

The head of the state appreciated the development of the Moscow machine engineers and wished them further success in the project. He also promised that electric transport development in Russia will be supported by the government.

The economic electric bus is made on the base of TROLZA trolley bus by two Moscow companies MOBEL and SRICI and equipped with lithium-ionic batteries manufactured by Liotech (Novosibirsk). For today the maximum speed of the bus is 75 km/h, run on a single charge – up to 250 kilometers, the ability for fast charge – 20 minutes, battery life – to 600 thousand kilometers. Electric bus is almost 2 times more economic than a trolley bus and 6 times more economic than a bus. The project of electric vehicles creation is supported by Department of Transport and Development of road transport infrastructure in Moscow.

MOBEL conducts a test-drive of the electric Ford Transit Van.

MOBEL Group is ready to present a new prototype of the electric vehicle – Ford Transit Van. The vehicle has recently had the first test drive, which was quite successful. In the near future creators plan to organize the cabin upgrading and a final adjustment of running characteristics.
In October 26-28, the car will be represented at the Rusnanotech-2011 forum in Moscow
