Marussia B1 supercar

We’d like to present a star amongst Russian carmakers – Marussia Motors. Founded in 2007, the Russia’s first high-performance car company has become a great example of acting innovations and ambitions. The company’s first supercar Marussia B1 was unveiled in Moscow during 2008, and then it was followed by the world launch of the overtly aggressive Marussia B2 supercar at the prestigious Frankfurt International Motor Show in the autumn of 2009. A few months later Marussia Motors took the unprecedented step of becoming first Russian car brand to enter the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship.

During our meeting with Marussia Motors in Moscow, we were greatly impressed by Marussia B1 supercar.

The Marussia B1 is Russia’s first supercar; it combines a strong and distinctive character with cutting edge engineering. Following in the great supercar tradition, the B1 is a powerful and lightweight mid-engined, two-seater, which is trimmed with the finest natural materials and equipped state-of-the-art electronics.

Built around an extremely light and strong semi-monocoque structure, clothed in striking and aerodynamically efficient bodywork shaped using the same Computational Fluid Dynamics computer software the carmaker uses to design their Marussia Virgin F1 Grand Prix cars, and powered by Cosworth-built V6 engines developing between 300 and 420bhp depending on the specification, the B1 is a unique and sports car with world-class capabilities.

Despite its skeletal weight and high-performance the B1 is no stripped-bare road racer. Comprehensively equipped with an advanced infotainment system, air-conditioning and electric windows, a Marussia delivers performance tailored for the 21st century.
